Jobs :D

SO yesterday, as I am sitting waiting for the internet to work long enough to upload Helena, a black friday commission I did, I get a phone call from a number I dont recognize. I didnt really think much of it, took a shower, came back, and listened to the voicemail I was left.

It was a job offer
Monday, I start as an administrative assistant in a collections office full time Im pretty excited. I feel really good about myself too, because for the longest time I have been worried that I wasnt very hirable for jobs I can actually do. Having Fibromyalgia really limits me to jobs where I can sit down. I already know that I can sit at a desk for a LONG time because I do that at home (art, WoW, etc). I just cant do things like stand for 8 hours like you need to do in retail. Well MOST of my job experience has been in retail. I have volunteer experience in office settings, but usually employers like to hear from past employers, not teachers I guess. So I can do the thing, if anyone would hire me for it, and I was getting to the point where I was considering applying for SSDI, feeling pretty worthless not having a job.

This is a BIG pick me up. Im way more confident I CAN DO THIS! I AM SO EXCITED TO WORK AGAIN!

That being said, PLEASE let me ensure everyone that this job WILL NOT be sucking away all my art time, whether its personal or commissions. It might slow me down a little, but Im already pretty fast haha. Usually takes me like 10 hours on average to complete a full color image. So three days tops looks like the timeframe now. Depends on the day, the details of the art, and my sleeping schedule.
